Edit or remove a template

Templates are living documents. Here is what happens to your existing records when you change one.

Edit a template

1. 1Open Waiver Templates.
2. 2Tap Edit on the template.
3. 3Change the fields, questions, consent text or studio fields.
4. 4Save.

Your changes apply to new waivers from that moment on.

Remove a template

Removing a template is permanent and cannot be undone. Choose Delete on the template — in the app it is under More actions — and Wavrr asks you to confirm, naming the template.

Removing a template does not remove the waivers signed with it. Those records and their PDFs stay under Customers and Waivers, with the snapshot of the wording that was signed. You are retiring the form, not the history.

If the template you remove was your default, your oldest remaining template becomes the default. Check it is the one you want — see Set a default template.

When to rename instead

Wavrr does not have a separate archive state. If you want to retire a template but keep the option of bringing it back, the safest approach is to rename it — Tattoo consent (retired 2026) — rather than remove it. It stops looking like a live option in your list, and nothing breaks.
