Download or share a signed PDF
Open and download the PDF of a completed waiver on the web or in the app, and what to do when a client cannot find their emailed copy.
Every completed waiver has a PDF. It contains the consent text as it was signed, the client's answers, both signatures, any artist notes and the date.
Open the PDF on the web
- Find the waiver under Waivers, or under the client in Customers.
- Open it. The Appointment Details window shows PDF available.
- Tap View Waiver to open the PDF viewer.
- Tap Download to save a copy to your computer.
If the PDF will not display in the viewer, use Open in New Tab and your browser shows it instead.
Open the PDF in the app
- Open the waiver from the Waivers tab, or tap the Waiver PDF chip on an appointment in the client's record under Customers.
- Tap Download PDF.
The PDF opens in your phone's viewer. From there you can save it to your files or pass it on with your phone's own share button.
When there is no PDF yet
A waiver only has a signed PDF once it is Completed. If the record has no download, the waiver is still at Draft, Sent to Customer or Pending Signature — most often the last one, meaning the client has signed and it is waiting on you.
Open it, add your signature, tap Sign & Complete, and the PDF is generated immediately.
When a client cannot find their copy
Wavrr emails the client their signed PDF automatically the moment the waiver is completed — see The automatic confirmation email. There is no button to send that email again, so when a client has lost it, send the PDF yourself:
- Ask the client to search their inbox and spam folder for "Wavrr" rather than your studio name. That solves it about half the time.
- If it really is gone, download the PDF as above.
- Send it to the client from your own email, or share it from your phone.
Getting several at once
For more than a handful, do not download them one at a time. Use the export instead. It packages waivers into a single download. See Export records for an inspection or audit.
What the PDF is for
It is the document you hand over when someone asks for proof of consent. Because it embeds a snapshot of the consent text that existed at signing time, it stays accurate even after you have edited the template ten times since.
