Check the client's answers and add notes when you sign

Review what the client filled in before you countersign, and add artist notes that are printed on the signed waiver PDF.

Updated

Your signature is the last step of every waiver. Before you add it, Wavrr shows you what the client submitted, and gives you a place to write down anything about the session that belongs on the record.

Get to your part

When a client has signed and the waiver is waiting for you, it sits at Pending Signature. Open it in any of these ways:

  • Open it from Waivers and choose Sign Waiver.
  • Use the Sign Waiver button in the "Waiver Ready for Signature" email Wavrr sends you.
  • In the app, open the waiver and tap Countersign as artist.

If you are running the whole waiver on your own device with the client next to you, you reach the same step straight after their signature — see Sign in person on a phone or tablet.

Check the client's answers

On the web, the artist step opens with Your turn, followed by a Client's answers panel. It shows:

  • The client's details and age. Anyone under your minimum age is flagged.
  • The service details they entered.
  • Their Medical screening answers. If they indicated a medical condition, that is called out so it does not get lost in a list.
  • The guardian, if there is one, and the client's signature.

In the app, the same review appears when the client signed somewhere else, such as from a share link or a QR code. When you ran the whole waiver on your phone with them, you were there for the answers, so the app goes straight to your part.

Add artist notes

Below the studio fields there is an Extra notes (optional) box. Use it for anything about this session you would want on the record:

  • Jewellery used and its size
  • Inks used, or a reference to the ink passport
  • Placement details
  • A touch-up agreement

Notes can be up to 2,000 characters. They are saved with the signed waiver and printed on its PDF.

Sign and complete

Add your signature and tap Sign & Complete — in the app, Complete waiver. The waiver moves to Completed, the PDF is generated and the client gets their copy by email.

Where the notes show up afterwards

  • On the waiver in the dashboard, under Artist Notes in its details.
  • In the app, as an Artist notes card on the waiver.
  • In the PDF, as an Artist notes block after the signatures. The client's answers are printed above it as they were submitted.
