Choose who signed a waiver

Every completed waiver records which artist performed the work. How you set it depends on your plan.

On the Artist plan

The waiver is attributed to you by default. There is an optional Artist Name field on the signature step for when you work under a different name than the one on your profile — leave it blank and your profile name is used.

On the Studio plan

The signature step shows Artist on waiver with a dropdown of your roster. You have to pick someone before you can complete the waiver — Wavrr will not let you finish without it, which is deliberate. An unattributed waiver in a five-artist studio is a record you cannot use.

If the artist is not on the roster yet, use Add to roster in the same step. Enter a display name, and they are added and selected without leaving the flow.

Get it right at signing time

Whoever holds the device does the signing

Because everyone in a studio works from one account, the artist signature captured is whichever one is drawn in the box. The roster selection is what records whose work it was.

The practical rule: the artist who did the work should be the one drawing the signature and the one selected in the dropdown. If a front-desk person completes waivers on everyone's behalf, the signature is theirs and the attribution is a label — legally weaker, and worth avoiding.

Finding waivers by artist

Attributed waivers appear with the artist's name on the client's record and in the waiver list, so you can see at a glance whose sessions are still waiting on a signature.
