Account, privacy & your data

Request an export of your data

Get a copy of everything in your account — for your own records, for a client's GDPR request, or because you are leaving.

Most of what you would want is available to download yourself, immediately, without asking anyone.

Export it yourself

  1. Open Waivers.
  2. Tap Export All.
  3. Run Export Waivers, then run Export Ink Passports.

Between them, those two cover the substance of your account: every signed consent form with its client details, health answers and signatures, and every ink and pigment record. See Export records for an inspection or audit for the detail.

When a client asks for their data

A client has the right to ask for a copy of the personal data you hold about them, and you are the controller who has to answer — not Wavrr. See Where Wavrr stores your data.

In practice:

  1. Find them under Customers and open their record.
  2. Download the PDF of every waiver they have signed, plus any ink passports.
  3. Send them those, along with anything else you hold about them outside Wavrr — your own notes, message threads, photographs of the work.

The waiver PDFs are the bulk of it and they are already in a form a person can read, which is what makes this a fifteen-minute job rather than a project.

If you need something the export does not cover

For a complete machine-readable copy of your account, or anything the in-app exports do not reach, get in touch through our contact page from the email address on the account. We will need to verify it is yours before we send anything, which is a feature rather than an obstacle.

Before you cancel or close

Look after the file

An export is a complete copy of sensitive client data, including health disclosures and possibly ID photographs. Store it somewhere you control, do not email it unencrypted, and remove it when whoever asked has what they need.
